Terms of Service

1. Who we are

KeepsakeMe is a digital keepsake service operated from Canada. Throughout this document, "we", "us" and "our" mean KeepsakeMe; "you" means the person using it.

2. What KeepsakeMe is

You answer a few questions, pay once, and fill a deck of memory cards with photos, words and voice notes — inviting others to help if you like. Your recipient opens the finished deck on their phone through a private link.

A photo magnet is available as a separate physical product that we print and ship to you.

3. Buying a deck

Prices are shown in Canadian dollars, and any applicable Canadian sales tax is added at checkout based on your billing address. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.

You can have one active, unfinished deck at a time. Because each deck is created for you as soon as you pay, purchases are final and we do not offer refunds.

4. Your content

The photos, words and recordings you add are yours. You give us permission to store, process and display them only as needed to provide the service to you and the people you share the deck with.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you add, and for making sure the people in your photos and recordings are comfortable being included.

5. People you invite

You can invite others to contribute a card, and you share the finished deck through a private link — optionally protected by an access code. Anyone with the link, and the code if you set one, can open the deck, so share them carefully.

Contributors do not need an account. What they add becomes part of your deck once you accept it.

We strongly recommend setting an access code before you share a finished deck with your recipient, and sending that code to them separately from the link — for example, the link by message and the code by a call. A deck can hold personal photos, words and voices, and a code is your best protection if a link is ever forwarded or seen by the wrong person.

6. Acceptable use

Please do not use KeepsakeMe to store or share anything unlawful, infringing, hateful or harmful, and do not attempt to disrupt the service or gain access you are not entitled to.

We may remove content or suspend access that breaks these terms.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep KeepsakeMe running smoothly, but we provide it as is and cannot promise it will always be available or error-free.

We may update the service over time. If we make a material change to these terms, we will update the date below and, where appropriate, let you know.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using KeepsakeMe at any time and ask us to delete your data, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may end or limit access if these terms are broken.

9. Our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, our liability for the service is limited to the amount you paid for your deck. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province in which we operate, without displacing mandatory protections available to you where you live.
